every time i start to get mad, the author comes back in with a ‘yeah but here are the flaws in the argument i’m presenting’ hitting me with the reminder of how research papers (books) work and that you have to discuss the WHOLE thing before making your point lol. anyway. still very strong so far

continuing my practice of only reading feminist literature in the break room at work and so far this is not only topical (and MORE fun to respond with when a coworker asks what i’m reading), but also requires far more intellectual rigor than the story-based nonfiction i read prior. which actually makes me far more alert, and is soooooo exciting for little old me, someone who misses her g&ws classes immensely
