Though the trap and betrayal were telegraphed and predictable, the second half of this book turned into a fast paced, excellent thrill Ride of developments that were pretty unpredictable. Rake is a fucking badass and the addition of Jaqen's voice actor and plot, really made this into a really good book. I'm hoping they land this in a satisfying ending but the ride has been really good as well in this trilogy.

Got a bad feeling about this escape by a main character. I know it's a trap because the dang author hasn't had the characters even consider the escape and coordinates as a trap. And now Rake and Cavillon are splitting and going to different missions. I don't like it, recipe for disaster.

There's three POVs in this book, Cavillon, Rake, and the captured Jaqen North, currently being held by Augustus Mercer and being mined on the whereabouts of his wife, Corinne Mercer. The book moves at a slow pace and I suspect this story will last several books more.
