We're having a terrible time

I'm grateful to now be past the moments in the TV adaptation which distressed me greatly. In book form all three events were emotionally clipped and very matter of fact. The scenes while upsetting in book form are devastating when you see them play out in front of you with an added emotional weight. The carpenter broke my heart but the cabin boy's actor ruined my life forever and tore my heart out. (Complimentary)
