this book is so beautiful and i’m crying at the simplest interactions and i’m crying and i’m feeling and i think i’ll be thinking for a long time

dare i say one of my favorite books (for no particular reason). i cannot wait to finish and text the author bc i want them to be famous i’m obsessed w their grasp on people and interpersonal relationships and politics and gender identity they just seem SMART and awesome and idk i’m quite obsessed

i’m only now realizing i’ve never read a book with a trans protagonist, and this is done so well. the characters are all likeable so far, even in their immaturities, which is often a hard balance to strike

I suppose intellectualizing our experiences is just another way to depersonalize them, strip them of pain we would otherwise feel and replace it with pain we can merely think about.”

i’m trying to finish a book to get this badge thing by tonight but i just started it so that’s not looking particularly likely BUT i’m really liking the book and it’s a good read
