Alright, first oopsy, but that's more of an error than a lore break. Otherwise, strong start with some fun introductions to characters. Cool that we're getting to see the Border Princes.

Oh...that last page of the chapter was stupendous, what a terrifying entry!

That was terrifying but weirdly braking the suspension of disbelieve.
Being suddenly pulled deep under water, trying to scream, gulping in murk liduids, all the while being strangled and then having stuff forced down your throat? I don't think you'd have the mindset to rationally think and react, let alone *have any air left in your lounges*.

I like it, the status quo has been thoroughly flipped and the cast is on their back feet.
It's a travel story and it looks like we'll see a lot of the Old World.
Weirdly, so far all locations have been outside of the old provided TOW map. Ohwell, locations pretty much all the same as they used to be anyway.

It's quite good so far. Wonderful prose in places and interesting characters.
Some real strategic and logistical thought has been put into this.
I was beginning to wonder if Varo was the sole POV, but glad to see we will get different perspectives from the diverse host.
