I don't love it so far because the book reads less like a story and more like a court deposition. The voice seems detached from the proceedings of the novel, and the characters read flatly. The syntax js pretty cool though with the longer sentence structures, the word choice, neat, but the book is also encouraging me to drop the book and sleep.

So pretty dry; could use a little more sauce.

In the same way that anime has brainwashed nerds into falsely believing the women in Japan are all demure and cutsie-wootsie , I'm being led to believe by Yasushi Inoue that the men in Japan are all forlorn and full of frustation and longing.

Having read Inoue's other works, I have the impression that Inoue probably had a pretty rough, love life. Buddy, you would have loved Jeff Buckley.

If not for the fact that I loved this guy's other works or that this book is like 10 pages long, I think I already would have given up at this point and started reading something else. The writing is so dry, I can feel myself getting parched with each page. It's dulllllllllll
