“A simple Roman knight, Crispus? Then you had better take a few simple Roman riding-lessons.” This line made me laugh out loud. Crispus obviously had to defend his honor. No one does revenge like the Romans.

I’ve changed my mind, enjoying this and have printed and laminated a copy of the Julio-Claudian family tree to follow along with as I read.
