I’ve warmed up a lot to Raxa and Gates (I’m listening to the audiobook so idk how to spell his name yet lol) but this thieves’ guild thing is still so cringe. I suppose it’s not terribly different from the concept of a mafia or more general gang but for some reason it’s giving me more secondhand embarrassment currently

A plot twist that was extremely predictable, but what can I say I support gay rights and also wrongs (unless this takes a particularly sinister turn I didn’t anticipate, in which case I’ll withdraw my support from this secondary antagonist and also my flippancy)

I do appreciate that everyone is still invested in avenging Twill, she was a pretty minor character but also super cool and I’m still pissed about what happened to her

Update: I have discovered his name is Gaites
On reread I’m reminded how much I love Nak and Ollivander. Also I’m intrigued by how the Collinese historical figure completely failed to control his Andrac with disastrous results, but Gladdic is extremely good at communicating with them and we only truly see him fail to convince one to do his bidding one time (and that was a special case). Maybe it’s because Gladdic went to the source of Andrac lore to discover them while Conn (?) the whitehaired would presumably have researched and created (or summoned) them all the way in collen
