He just mentioned Netflix in 1990, so I'm gonna assume this is him in the present recounting his time in the 90s and not a massive oversight. It was a fourth wall break regardless, so it's whatever

Right?? This vampire character makes tons of 90s references in his stories even though he is 100s of years old. He clarifies like halfway through the first book by saying he moved to Houston in 1990, so I guess it's plausible that he saw a bunch of amazing movies and made it his personality. This is a prequel to the first book. I read the first two so far. Not an amazing author, but the concept is fun and seems to be getting better. There is a slight crossover with another series I like so I'm giving it a shot. He just does some stuff sometimes that seems like a lack of research or mindfulness. Funny and action packed though
