Calling out the “Let Go and Let God” movement. We play a role in our sanctification and we need to make an effort to be holy and partner with the Spirit.

I think everyone needs to read this chapter on sexual immorality. We have become so desensitized that sin has become normal, tolerated in our world and righteousness seems strange — and that is heartbreaking to our Father.

We as believers can say it’s normal, but our role being members of Christ’s body is to fight the darkness by His power. Let’s pursue holiness, rebuke in love, and seek Him over all.

This last chapter helped me understand what it truly means to find my identity in Christ. What union with Christ looks like and how it reminds me of the righteousness in my life through Jesus alone.

“But the “you” he’s talking about is the “you” that you are by grace, not by nature.”

It argues against the “but I was born this way” mindset of lifestyle sins to the power of being reborn in Christ.

As believers, we’ve tolerated too much of our culture that we forget its unholiness takes us away from what Jesus and Paul warned us about.

“We know legalism and antinomianism are both wrong, but antinomianism feels like a much safer danger.”
