Dudes wife sucks. Her actions aren’t expanded on enough for understanding. Stoner is too static of a character. Wish there was a bit more insight into the emotions of the characters.

Insightful commentary Isaac. What sucks about his wife? Also, is this a true story?

@bryce it is considered a fiction story, but it takes place at mizzou and St. Louis in the early 20th century. His wife for disclaimer comes from a wealthier family hence she relied on her parents approval before believing in their marriage. She was completely absent their wedding day, literally and emotionally. This emotional distance continues through their honeymoon onwards of a year. Almost like her reasoning for marriage does not revolve around the idea of love, rather something else.
