I am enjoying the poetry. I've had a bit of time to breathe, including an unexpected day today -- normally Tuesdays and Fridays are devoted to Mom. I've also had a LOT of time lost due to my car and also to my knitting+socializing-at-a-movie. Saturday was completely lost. I prefer my own time, but i know it's important to do some "normal/socially acceptable" things sometime -- i don't normally choose to do them. except for mom, my regular-by-choice social activities include a movie once a month with a good friend (we see each other only then) and my 12-step meeting once a week. I've cut out a lot. O when I go to Erie, too. I will be going at the end of February for 3-4 days because of a program presented by Edwina Gateley, an author/poet/social activist. She is awesome -- look her up.
Anyway (i type fast, trying to keep up w/my thoughts and i WAS a secretary), i've read about half of the book. There are some poems i've marked as speaking to me. The one about meat really spoke to me since i've been a vegetarian for over 21 years. Are you? Also, "reveal","vet olcanic ash", and "fend" come to mind.
