Things are finally starting to heat up a little bit. I do like the timing of the “Now” bits as the before plot line continues. Curious to know how many more twists can be packed into these last 100 pages or so.

… 🫣🫣 … nothing has shocked me so far except for the latest in the “Now” excerpt.
There are some holes in this plot, though. The author is trying so hard to make us feel like Casey is trapped in this situation, and if you really think about it, she’s not. And the leading drive of this plot feels like the alcohol, which I am growing tired of reading about.

“What is marriage but a series of mutual deceptions?”
Just made it through the next excerpt of “Now” and I am not sure where we are going next. I expected much more spying in this book, so I am surprised we already know that Katherine knows Casey is watching.
