i cant believe this book has some angst

Being that beautiful of a specimen was like having a superpower, and all superheroes struggled with using their powers for good. With chiseled abs comes great responsibility, right?

“You have a crush on me?”
“I…I have this condition where I sometimes say things without thinking. Like a lot.”
“Tourette’s?”
“Not Tourette’s. I don’t actually have Tourette’s. Just plain ole fashioned idiocy.”

Working in retail was like picking up after the world’s messiest, most inconsiderate roommate. Customers had no concept of putting things back where they came from. They thought just because Tom made an hourly wage, they could leave the store in disarray.

“I wish I could have you out on the floor,” Antonio said. Hot Mall Santa had me on the bed. “But trucks don’t unload themselves.” Hot Mall Santa unloaded inside me.
“It’s fine. We gotta do what we gotta do,” Tom said.

And then a curious thing happened. Randall kissed Tom’s shoulder. It was quick, but there was something so inherently intimate and downright sweet about it, which Tom didn’t expect after what they just did. He didn’t have a Christmas pun to describe it.

“Yes. It’s a classic.”
“Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.” Randall shook his head at the screen.
“It is! It takes place on Christmas Eve.”
“That’s only a coincidence.”
