I enjoyed the idea of this book more than the book itself. Dorfman has interesting things to say about the role Western culture plays in shaping minds--young minds through children's books like Babar and older minds through Reader's Digest. But I think he gets too repetitive much of the time and at others doesn't illustrate as clearly as he could the way these books are used as soft power.
