I infer that the group with Krakaur will make it to the peak of Everest within the next 20 pages. This is because I believe the narrator is hinting towards this by saying that they are nearing the summit of the mountain.

C- I can connect with this book because I have experienced looking back on a disaster. It gives you a chill to know what happened the day that a disaster happens and that is what Krakuauer is experiencing by looking back on the Mount Everest disaster.

W- the author is writing the novel skillfully based on his own recollection of this event. This is a skilled way to do this, considering he was a primary witness to the disaster of Mount Everest. He makes sure that the reader is always filled in on what has happened throughout the story so that they can continue on with understanding the rest.

I infer that Krakaur's team will make it to the summit of Mount Everest very soon. It can make this inference because Hill is continuously saying to his teammates that they only have as little ways left to go, and that is keeping the group going at a rapid rate.

T- a theme of this book is that multiple characters continuously pop up with tragic pasts involving mountain climbing. Tragic pasts bring the theme range from deaths of friends and loved ones to the loss of limbs, so this I seems to be becoming a theme within the story.
