I figured it out like halfway through the book. It started out well. But it started to drag when there weren’t that many clues. The author was too obvious it red herrings by providing shade to certain characters that it helped me to figure that it wasn’t them even when the “evidence” would say otherwise. Definitely not like a hercule poirot book. But cool to recognize places mentioned in the book in real life

So far, so good. I didn’t realize the book is part of a series, but they aren’t connected- it just has the same main character. The author fills in some background, so reading the other books is not necessary. The chapters are short which is good
