I couldn’t figure out why a British writer would set a story in CT. It’s kind of distracting that the geography is correct and some things feel right (like the train station) but others don’t. Even Columbia seems like the wrong choice for Pip.
It irked me enough that I looked into it. Apparently there’s a separate American and UK version. WHY? Seems unnecessary. Still a fun listen on my commute.

The police didn’t interview this girl after she called them and they arrested him?! And now she’s thinking of destroying the evidence she collected.
And how can she promise her friend that the other issue won’t be revealed? Does no one besides her dig into things?!

I’m definitely engaged and want to know what happens. But this girl makes some very dumb and dangerous decisions! And I really wish she’d talk to her parents!
I live in CT and found some things distracting- no way would people leave their keys under their mats in Fairfield County. Especially after the home invasion in Cheshire which was major news- and the story is set after that.

49 percent! For a supposed study- but nerdy kid she takes way too many risks!
Is the writer British? The kids say clever and ring in ways CT kids wouldn’t,
