Don’t know if I can do it, yall. Once again, the story pacing has stalled for me and I want to move on to the next book. That’s what I did with the first book that everyone gushed over. Nothing wrong with the writing or the spice… just the pacing is KILLING ME

A lot of repetitive filler exposition, which is what I had problems with in the first book of this much-beloved series. I’m going to try to power through to at least get to a spice scene lol

Hell’s bells, the exposition is killing me. I dnf’d the first book for the same reason. Then again, switching from short stories and novellas to full novels takes some adjustment.
