I think 1/5 of what Ive read could be removed from the book and it woukdnt change the narrative. Sanderson likes to say hes narrative driven but uses the world building image as his publicity image. If genuinely true, hes just bad at narratives - this book doesnt need to be as long as it is if hes narrative driven.

The books still amazing, just 700 pages in and the lore has grown massively, but dont really feel like the story has gone far
