Still really struggling. I’m hoping her “arc” is realizing how self-centered she’s being and using this couple as emotional crutches while ignoring all of their problems except asking about their daughter every once in awhile.

Disturbed by the Christmas chapter. This is getting a bit too “magical Black character” for my taste. But this is for a book group, so that will be a discussion piece.
