Slightly abridged quote, but one of my favorites so far.

It’s funny, after reading a couple hundred of his sermons day after day, I’ve actually started to feel like I really know the man!

Incredible preaching, clarity of gospel, and compelling earnestness.

3/10 done. His words even in writing manifest an earnestness and plainness that so often seem lacking now. In closing a sermon, he says:
“If you are damned, it will not be for want of preaching to you, and it shall not be for want of praying for you. God knoweth that if my heart could break of itself, it would, for your souls, how earnestly I long for you in the bowels of Christ Jesus…”

1 of 10 volumes down. Incredible sermons, the gospel is expressed so plainly in each and every one. You would never leave a sermon of his without a clear understanding of what you must do to be saved.
