These were the very first incidents and events showing how far and serious the Black Panthers would go, abandoning the esoteric concepts and intellectual debates and putting Fanon's theories into practice.. The first confrontational approach against the system adopted by an armed black movement has become real :

Huey understood the meaning of what Fanon was saying about organizing the lumpen proletariat first(..) that if the organization didn't relate to the lumpen proletariat and give a base for organizing the brother who's pimping, the brother who's hustling, the unemployed, the downtrodden, the brother who's robbing banks, who's not politically conscious(..)the power structure would organize these cats against you.
