The stories are much more readable then the vignettes or even the interviews. They show the beginnings of the Barnes of Nightwood.

Some interesting color from the early 1900s and some nice interviews-Lillian Russell, Alfred Stieglitz-but a bit of a disappointment for me. I love Barnes later work but this has very little of her later style.
