I hit such a wall with this book. I almost enjoy it TOO much - each paragraph of each page being so rich with emotion and image it’s almost exhausting in its intensity…though I must press on, I’ve never felt more at home than in the pages of Woolf’s writing, I consider her narrative voice a kindred spirit…plus I NEED to reverse months worth of brainrot asap…hoping this might revitalise the weary mind…

Relentless stream of consciousnesses contained within the gentle flowing of Woolf’s day much preferable to relentless onslaught of information on the Death App

If I had a pound for each time a Virgina Woolf novel turned out to be a poignant meditation on the impact of the First World War on Great Britain, I’d be able to buy a meal deal for lunch tomorrow
