There’s no doubt that this book is the size of an encyclopedia. It is roughly the size of five large novels.

I’m happy to say it reads almost exactly like a novel. Ron Chernow is a champion - I’m not sure that any other biographer rights such interesting and story driven biographies.

Long, amazing. At no point does this 1000 page biography become dry. I believe wholeheartedly that Ron Chernow is the best living biographer.

Amazing, Chernow is the greatest modern biographer. His (extremely large) works are all near 1,000 pages and contain > 400k words - 4 or 5 times the length of modern novels.
