Why do I have a bad feeling that it’s the crown prince trying to off his cousin so that the MC is free to marry again... and he’ll make her, though some form of threat, being the heir to the thrown and all. He’s enough of a rat bastard to do something like that. Poor MC and ML.

I had misgivings about the older brother. In some scenes he seemed loving and caring over his younger sister, and in others overbearing and like one who was using her for status (such as asking her to bear with the princes abuses and apologise herself). But I’m glad we got to see how torn up he actually was about how powerless he was about it - he couldn’t stop it without likely causing all their deaths.

The chapter started out rather sweet (if not a tad perverted) but then the pathetic adulterous women had to happen. Yikes. They’ve no self respect, god damn. Leave the poor married, love-sick fool alone!
