Okay it's been a very weird opening act but it took until chapter 6 before I understood what this book was going to be about. I just grabbed something from my kindle so I didn't have a synopsis. Turns out it's a murder mystery. Which is fine. Because a school drama book wouldn't make sense when everyone's a senior in the end of the school year.

I'm not a fan of the ending but I don't feel it's as out of left field as everything else.

wait I'm only changing from 3% and SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED. 98% of it stupid. We haven't had the most compelling or interesting protagonist but WTF happened? She's so STUPID. Just bouncing around with the most moronic conclusions. The real conclusion isn't even that crazy but it's just insane the way her mind works.
The only thing that DOES make sense is the RealKiller™'s motive. That's interesting.

whoooo doggy. So many thoughts. There was a sentence that made me side-eye. And I'm getting the sense that I need to follow that feeling first before it gets obvious. Gotta find it. The false killer has been confirmed and now we're on the hunt for the real killer

"I crane my head around to look. A briefcase sits next to a lone chair, empty. Empty because I declined the need for the Claflin lawyer. I’m eighteen, so he’s optional, and I know enough to know that asking for the lawyer can make you look guilty. And this isn’t Law & Order. It’s not dangerous."
Ugh... the Law & Order effect strikes again. Copaganda is just everywhere. In everything and it's non-stop.

Started yesterday. Honestly the prologue is insane. What I'm learning is the ENTIRE PREMISE of this book is going to be based in something that's not how college admissions work at all.
