Flower town starts off with a perennially stoned woman, Ellie, who works a dead end job in a contamination zone getting labeled as a "blue tag" and being switched to quality of life treatment. As it goes on, she steals a classified company file from the company after being accused of the same crime. Then, the building she works in gets blow up. She learns of a conspiracy among other residents and then gets arrested.

When Ellie climbs onto the tamping drone to escape Flowertown, it shows that she thinks that it is necessary to share the secrets with the world, and feels that her discomfort with the chemicals that are sprayed at her is worth getting them out. She is saying that she wants to save her friends in Flowertown.

The main conflict in my book is character vs. society. While it hasn't really been mentioned yet, when Ellie is sober, she learns about what the corporate owned boxes in her office are, and that the society she lives in is deeply flawed. I have not reached the part where she finds the conflict, but there are clues that it will be character verses society, such as boxes being moved, explosions, inquiries and protests.
