Did not finish. I was so appalled at the amoral behaviour of the main character in this book that I had a friend take this novel back to Paris to throw it into the Seine with all the other rubbish. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone. It felt like watching a Gus Van Saint movie as that director also aims to disquiet and disturb its audience.

I wanted to burn this book but didn’t find the opportunity. Then I left it in a hotel room and room service returned it to me. I can yet burn it.

Every time I read this book it makes me so unhappy. Unfaithful women are just the very worst thing.

This book makes me so unhappy when I read it. The protagonist is despicable and the theme is generally just fucking bizarre. I don’t know how anyone thought this worthy of acclaim.

I’m reading this book to get inside the head of a cheating wife. I want to hear her self justifications. It’s really seems like this is quite easy for her. What a fucking terrible person. If I manage to finish this abomination of the story I’m going to burn it in a bucket with A picture of and a possession of my wife.

I saw this book in the airport bookstore. The book synopsis and a few Goodreads reviews told me it really sounded a lot like what my wife was going through with her abandonment of our marriage for polyamourous opportunities. Exactly that had lead me to this airport library as a newly, and still shell shocked single man. Maybe reading this smut piece will clarify a little about what the fuck she was thinking.
