The Desert has been my favorite so far!! I was so heartbroken when Ansel betrayed Celaena and attempted to kill the Master, especially since she was the first woman to ever truly be her friend. It breaks my heart even more now with Nehemia’s death in CoM. Celaena just has no luck keeping female friends 💔

The assassin and the healer was a beautifully short story that introduced Yrene Towers, a healer I hope I get to see more of when I start Heir of Fire and beyond. I’m really hoping all characters minus ones I know meet an end will show up later in the series when I finish this book

Finished the first novella, god I’m wishing now I read this first before Throne of Glass. Knowing what’s gonna happen to Sam and Celaena hurts after reading their epic adventure freeing slaves from their pirate handlers
