Fascinating retelling of the Beauty and The Beast. I actually appreciate the choice in leaning into the bizarreness of Belle’s situation and how this mysterious tale actually happened. The love story between her mom and dad is sweet but imperfect like most. Also, can be quite chilling and dark when you pay attention. So far this is really neat. I wonder if it’ll end as predicted…what happened to
her mom?

Whoops, finished this book a couple weeks ago. So good!! I loved learning more about the world of belle and beast in this context. I remember feeling though that some of the story telling seemed like too much? Wonderful reading.
