I'm struggling, y'all. I'm so sleepy. I was supposed to read 40 pages a night and finish this by the end of the month... which is today... oh no.

Nobody could have prepared me for the utterly pathetic boredom that is Michael Curry in this book. He goes from the Most Interesting Man on Earth to a boring, drunken puddle of self-pity with a sprinkling of horniness for Rowan Mayfair and it’s… off-putting. Ugh. Men.

This book is kicking my ass. Can’t believe I’ve once again WILLINGLY entered into a readership covenant with Anne Rice, exactly as I have repeatedly said I will never do again.

Her writing infuriates me. It’s exhausting. It’s poetry. It desperately needs to be edited. She’s a genius. She has no idea when to stop beating a dead, boring horse (Michael’s drunken wallowing). She’s my favorite freak <33
