6 Principles of understanding Love through the Divine
1. True love is an experience of the Heart: the heart is the part within us designed to experience love and the most powerful tool we have to connect to God’s love. You cannot experience real love with the mind or ego; only with the heart.

Chapter 8 is about the psychological and spiritual harms of not leading from the heart. Whenever we go against the purpose of something that thing becomes abused by us.
1. The worship of the self: the worshipping of the self is rooted in a disconnect from the heart which lead to us living from other places, lower facets within us to make us feel temporarily good. Chasing desires and feeding the ego.

Chapter 6 is about truth and how it is a crucial rule in aligning ourselves. Having “authenticity” which is doing things that are true to your core identity. The opposite of authenticity is hypocrisy; when what we say and do is in opposition or conflicting with what we claim to believe. What defines what I true is what we actually believe in our heart not our mind. Hypocrisy is a form of self deception.

The beginning of chapter 5 is all about love. True divine love. “the H.O.M.E method is rooted in the belief that we cannot grow, heal, transform mentally emotionally and practice our faith beautifully without love being the foundation of such a journey”. We cannot truly connect with anything without love first. We need to connect to God’s love for us. For he has more love for us than a mother can for her child.

Chapter 4 explores the human life’s purpose. The “why”. Our ultimate existential purpose in the earth. Why god created us. Without this knowledge we will never truly who we are, we will experience a life that lacks grounding and deep meaning; emptiness. Allah says “I did not create jinn or mankind expect to worship me”. Going against this purpose that our creator designed us in this way will only harm us.

Chapter 3 introduces the quote “Whoever knows himself, knows his lord”. It is deeper than just knowing your flaw and fixing your mistakes. It means knowing yourself fully not partly. Knowing you, the entirety of you to then know your lord. To understand you, to love you. To hold yourself accountable when needed, not being overly critical of yourself. Your inner knowing and your knowing of God can coexist.

Chapter 2 encapsulates the importance of working on yourself as a whole: emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Not focusing on one or some but all because they are inevitable connected. The relationship with between you and yourself and the relationship with your parents. The teachings of Allah that he himself gave to us not what someone interpreted on their own and then passed it down to us.

I feel so happy to have finally hold in my hands a book that fits all that am I searching for. My religion and my love for psychology all in one place. I’ve finished the first two chapters. I’ve learned that it’s no use letting your mind and ego lead rather than the truth, your heart. God has placed us in this body on this earth temporarily and our true home is where our soul belongs; with the lord himself.

3. Knowledge precedes love: Divine love cannot exist without true knowledge of God. We cannot love who we do not know.
4. Love is NOT conditional upon perfection: Perfection is not an ingredient of love. God did not set the condition of perfection for his love for you or his blessing from him to you. His level of love may vary from person to person but there is always love from him to us as he is ever-abundant. He does not only love us if we are perfectly obedient, perfection is not required to simply be loved by our lord.
5. Love serves to Nourishment: The purpose of love is nourishment. Love was created by the most loving to nourish us. That is the purpose of love. It is designed to fuel the heart, water its growth, and suffice it in ways nothing else can.
6. Love takes Work: God love us, but if we want that love to grow we need to worship and align our words with our actions. Not only claim to love God but do things that resonate with that. Show your love for him. That love needs to be nurtured, it needs to be worked on to keep it alive.
