The mindset of most of the people in this book is obviously pretty dated as there is a lot of stereotyping of disabled people as well as gay people. Along the lines of:Using ableist slurs nonchalantly (probably due to it being so normalized) and an obsession with "Well, if they don't have a publicly declared sex life, they must be a closeted homosexual" type of talk. Not too surprising, but definitely irritating.
