Ok, so I just realized this is a reprint of an older series. Now I understand how I was in pure disbelief that the author that wrote the Vicious Bonds trilogy, which was pure perfection, also wrote this series, which is definitely not. Shanora’s writing has definitely grown and improved. I’m glad I didn’t find these books first because I wouldn’t have continued reading her works.
