This book is like a train wreck I can't look away from. And in the middle of the wreckage, there is so much truth about so many things.

This needs to be said: this book is not what I expected. Reading a story from a mother and her 4 daughters about their 1959 Congo mission experience with their preacher husband/father is...different and familiar at the same time. It is funny, scary, and...painfully honest.
