i really did enjoy the book. mostly volume 2 with frankenstein’s, the “monsters,” pov. i thought a lot about humanity and how ugly we can be. but also how thirst and knowledge can drive madness, which scared me. while i do not condone frankenstein’s actions, i always felt for him and never once pitied victor. at the end victor mirrored his creation: whom he hated. and at the end they became one another.

volume 2 contains the most sickening amount of chapters i have ever read in a book. chapter 7 is making me cry. i feel so bad. frankenstein is the origin book for all outcasts who seek deeper meaning in the philosophy of life. the “monster’s” perspective showcases how life procured in a unworldly manner may pan out and how prejudice beats those of innocence.
