BULBOKJANG is the way Textiles and Clothing were preserved in Korea because of the climate and soil. Bulbokjang is the Buddhist ritual practise of enshrined consecrated objects in cavities of seated Buddha statues. It has been traced to 8th century China and migrated to Korea in the Unified Silla period. This accounts for the oldest piece of clothing dated to before 1302
