How do you introduce a man from the slums into high society with zero tutors on decorum and studies and what to do at balls, etc.? Now he’s tasked to play detective among the elite?? I just don’t understand.

The opening chapter is so exciting but it’s been a drag ever since. Shan thinks too highly of herself, Isaac is in this polyam but has no POV chapters, and Samuel has the most potential as a bastard child plucked out of obscurity but his personality is quite dull.
