Weirdly pedantic gripe but so much of the humor of this play relies on them all having the same first name and confusion ensuing from that but german acquaintances and colleagues would NOT have addressed each other by first names at this time anyways and there’s actually soooo much drama in German historical fiction surrounding when you grant someone the use of their first name/familiar pronouns. Anyways.
