Whelp, there’s the final cruel joke. At least she got to see her kids one last time.

Well, this sucks (in a good writing way). Right near the end, desperation and death hits a fever pitch. And all the kids are already way too far gone a month before salvation. It would have gone better for everyone if the kids stayed dead the first time.

This mental decline vaguely reminds me of rabies. How you can technically skip being put in a medical coma until you die, but all it really does is make you suffer through losing your mind.

Ross is right to leave. Unfortunately, it’s just a day too late. At least Josh will get a bit more life out of this mess.

Offing these kids might be better for everyone. Death takes away all options but to either move forward or die with them. Insane that this book has me pro-murdering fictional children out of sympathy.
