This book is just hilarious. I'm loving this re-read but apparently I can't read too much from it in a day before my brain stops paying attention.

Love the scene where Emma disagrees with Mr Knighley almost purely for the sake of disagreement (because she enjoys arguing with him) BUT by the end of this discussion she is like: we shall never agree about him when in fact they do indeed agree about him, she just kind of lost sight of that...

Mr John Knightley (=Isabella's husband) is such lovely character, glad to find that I'm still loving him on this re-read. Also the fact that he's at Harfield for like five minutes and he sees what Emma is completely oblivious toward 😂

I also love how both Knighley brothers are good with children, really the sexiest feature in a man 😂

I'm progressing slower than I would have liked. I'm having a great time with this but I'm just so tired all the time!

"You have made her too tall, Emma," said Mr Knightley.
Emma knew that she had, but would not own it...

😂 This moment really tickles me and I just don't know why! It's hilarious though, right?

"Especially when one of those two is such a fanciful, troublesome creature!" Emma said playfully. " That is what you have in your head, I know-and what you would certainly say if my father were not by."

"I believe it is very true, my dear, indeed," said Mr Woodhouse, with a sigh. "I am afraid I am sometimes very fanciful and troublesome."
