It’s really just insult to injury that Crypt Kicker has to be in EVERY story in this, when his entire character concept is, essentially, a less sexy+interesting (physically, morally, narratively) version of Demise. the WILD CARDS world yearns for the living corpse loose cannon archetype, not that one though!

The ‘if I was still Puppetman, I’d use those powers for good’ to ‘the only way to do good is to use these new powers for evil’ pipeline is so important to me
