This... has been rather slow so far. I liked the characters, though. Their interactions are probably my favorite parts of the book so far (and Elend I want more of Elend!), which is a bit funny considering what I've gathered from the internet is that Sanderson's weakest point is his characters. I guess I'm just that type of reader who's always ultra-focusing on characters. I do that with shows/movies too.
