I am in the part of the book where Jake learned that his Grandfather was the only one to escape Nazi bombings. One trait that Jake has shown is resilience. Even when he thought that his grandfather made up all the stories he kept on searching. Even when he heard that his grandfather was a bad guy he kept on believing that he was good. This is why I think Jake demonstrates resilience,

I just finished the book. The book ended with the children rowing away. The best charector in the book was Emma. She is really strange, but intruiging at the same time. She was in love with a boy, but he left the the loop. Now she is in love with his grandson.

I am currently on the part where the home is on lockdown because of the threats of monsters. A conflict there is in this book is Jakes dad fighting with himself. He can't find a place in the world because he is trying to be recognized as his own person, and not a person married to a rich women. This is why he is trying to find himself in birding expeditions. He doesn't think it is good enough compared to his wife.

I am currently on the part where Jake is meeting Miss Peregrine. He is taken prisoner, but is un bound. The the reason that the title is Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is because that is the orphanage Jakes grandpa was in as a boy.
