Still boring and apparently Diane is the antagonist and locked Duck in a closet so the main character is “forced” to give the last book over to her so they can get out before their mom finds out. Very low stakes

The whole dance of death celebration the town did in Mainz was interesting but had no purpose other than a distraction for his escape with the book.

Just feels boring and slow, Blake is hunting the two books to turn into one but for some reason it just isn’t compelling. The character motivation arc is low besides “hey let’s do this because I’m curious to see what the book says and apparently some dark shadow is searching for it so we need to get to it before it does “

Feels slow. Blake is on the quest to find the book and Peter/the other boy are on the way to disappear from Fust

Lot of Biblical themes from Genesis. The book is supposed to be from a special dragon found in the Garden of Eden and Fust wanted to know the knowledge of Adam and Eve, the clasps on the chest were snakes from Eden, the ex lie is society had one traitor among them etc.
