Abdullah's own writing is inspiring and engaging and seems well-substantiated so far. I just finished the first chapter and it was honestly masterful how he dealt with the continuation of the Crusades in the Americas with the Spanish and Portuguese in particular. Well-written and well-researched. Amazing.

The book is excellent. I pray the author receives funding and can make an expanded version with maps and images and diagrams and timelines to really help us understand this history. He really helps us to understand how widespread literacy was among enslaved Muslim Africans and an overall history of their presence and influence on history. And their nobility among the ignoble. And fight for freedom. Alhumdulillah.

I don't know why the author allowed the false claim that Islam was spread by the Arab slave trade in Africa in the foreward by the Grenadan ambassador Arley Gill. That's not a real historical observation. That's baseless anti-historical propaganda. (pages 9-10). I do not think the content of the book is misleading like that, but that is really a trash take. No real historian makes this claim.
