I went into this fully aware that I won't know what's going on (because I don't read much poetry), but I was seduced by the word "forensic" and I thought we would learn to interrogate the text like true crime. The only crime I see so far is the slop she chose in chapter 1. WTF am I looking at? Experimental poetry? For crying out loud, why can't she start with a simple poem like Dover Beach? Way to lose the audience.

There's a greater chance of the US being hit by a comet than me finishing this book. I saw the word forensic and reacted like a moth to a flame.
