The introduction of new characters and scenarios are a little hard to follow, but the octopus being used as a measure of time passing is really creative.

I really love how much tension and pressure Ms.Pelt is able to convey through each scene and point of view. I love how each point of view is so connected now that the tensions and emotions from one event carry on throughout the chapters as they are resolved by these characters interacting together.

I absolutely love how things are coming together. Making Marcellus a chaotic but strategic hand in piecing things together is so smart and is done even better through the creative writing.

I do like how it keeps teasing new characters that may fit into the missing holes, only to explain why they can’t just as easily as they find a new role in the story that they fulfill even more satisfyingly than if they were a missing part of the plot.

I love how Cameron’s personality makes every accomplishment that he achieves not just feel earned, but also makes the reader just as impressed and proud of him as the characters around him. I also love his relationship with Ethan. I don’t like how depressing Marcellus is becoming.

I absolutely adore the way the author uses Marcellus as a way to possibly foreshadow using his detailed observations that the people of the story just can’t pick up on. Having him find joy from certain funny and rude words is also really endearing. I also really enjoy just how neatly these two chapters worked into one another.

I really like how the book ties the characters to one another. Both with location and plot.

I do like how things are left open as others are slowly brought together.

I do like how connected Tova and Marcellus’s stories are becoming.

The chapters never focus on the same character back to back, but don’t seem to have a really consistent order. It’s interesting at times but also a little confusing.

I am becoming less of a fan of Cameron every chapter he is in. I did like the change up of a full chapter focused on a pre established character though.
